Below is the link to the Putnam County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update for 2020. This plan is required by State and Federal agencies in order for communities in Putnam County to be eligible for certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance. The ultimate gal of hazard mitigation is to reduce loss of life and property, lessening the impact of disasters. The link below answers questions such as, what is hazard mitigation, what is mitigation planning, the types of mitigation actions and how this plan effects Putnam County.
