Water Rate Schedule
DATE July 1, 2009 and forward Rates
All Rates are per unit as recorded by water meters or estimated by the village water administration and rounded to 100 gallon increments or flat rate where metered readings are not available.  Bills are rendered quarterly.
Bills must be paid or postmarked within 30 days of bill date to avoid a late penalty of 10%. 
Our water rate structure is designed to promote conservation.  The more you use the more you pay.

1. Metered Water Customers inside Village of Brewster

• 3, 000 Gallons Per Quarter (GPQ) - minimum usage at $0.0125 per gallon ($37.50)
• 3,001 to 12,500 GPQ at $0.0125 per gallon
• 12,501 to 50,000 GPQ at $0.018 per gallon
• 50,001 GPQ and upward at $0.024 per gallon

2. Metered Water Customers outside the Village of Brewster:

• Town of Southeast Residents /Peaceable Hill Water District: $0.02 per gallon constant

3. Flat Rate in Village, no meter, broken meter, $800.00 per Quarter

• Broken meter, bad reading, short reading: prorated based on average metered usage determined solely by the Village.  When no metered history is available, the flat rate of $800.00 per unit per quarter will be used.

4. Flat Rate outside Village, including Peaceable Hill Water District no meter, broken meter; $1,000 per Quarter

• Broken meter, bad reading, short reading: prorated based on average metered usage determined solely by the Village.  When no metered history is available, the flat rate of $1,000 per unit per quarter will be used.

ALL RATES ARE PER UNIT PER QUARTER
Notes:

• Meter Reading (Special Request) $30.00.  This fee will be charged when a final reading is requested by a person moving out of their home.  Readings for complaints or check of regular readings will not be billed this charge.
• Service call to turn water on or off $100.00.  This fee is for all after hour calls where our personnel respond to an emergency call to turn water off or on.  This fee will not apply to calls during regular working hours.  If we return to turn water back on after hours a second charge will apply.
• Meter testing:  Actual cost – currently estimated at $125.00
• Returned checks: $30.00 fee and uncollected amount must be paid in cash or with money order
